Our Caramelised Onion balsamic condimento is one of our best selling infused balsamics. It is crafted by the Verrini Family in Modena, Italy, the birthplace of premium quality balsamic vinegar. The key to quality balsamic vinegar and flavoured balsamic is the grape must, so the Verrini’s use only the finest Trebbiano & Lambrusco grapes which they grow on their own estate, thus controlling the quality at every stage.
The grapes are pressed and simmered into a quality must which is then fermented and aged in oak barrels. When the density is perfect, the result is a delicious, traditional matured balsamic which we call our Classic balsamic to which concentrated caramelised onions are added and infused.

Wonderful on its own or when mixed with one of our olive oils (3 parts oil to 1 part balsamic) as a salad dressing or as a yummy dip with fresh bread.
Drizzle over cheese, steaks, white fish or fish pie, cottage pie, roasted vegetables, casseroles, stews and gravies.
